KegiatanMENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI METODE DISCOVERY TERBIMBING Anggit Bagus Nugroho* This study aims to inprove the student achievement in learning science lesson y School fourth of the fifth graders of SDN Condongcatur Yogyakarta through guided discovery learning method. The subjects were students 28 students students of class VA, consisting of 13 males and 15 females. This research used Kemmis and Taggart action research models design and conducted in two cycles of action in which. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. They were a planing an implementation, observation, and reflection in every cycle. The data collecting techniques uesed test and observation. The test was validated emphirically and based on expert judgeemnt first. The relibility of the test was calculated using alpha cronbach. The data as analized using descriptive qualitative while the test result was analyzed using descriptive quantitatuive percentage. The average value of the preaction science learning outcomes reached 68.93 and the completeness percentage was only 50% after the action using a guaide discovery learning methode, the percentage in the first cycle improved to 79.96 and completeness percentage increased to 71.43%. In the second cycle the percentage progressed to 82.5 an completeness percentage was 84.29%
