KegiatanImplementation Of A Contextual Approach In Improving English Language Learning Result On The Fourth Grade Student Of SD Negeri Banjarharjo In the academic year of 2011/2012 Academic Year. The objective of this research is to describe the steps of English learning with the implementation of a contextual approach in improving English language learning result. This research applies a classroom action research which is done on two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of the research are the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Banjarharjo in the academic year of 2011/ 2012 academic year, consisting of 14 studenst, 11 boys and 3 girls. To collect the data the writer uses observation, evaluation, and documentation. The data validation uses triangulation method technique. In analyzing The data are quantitatif and qualitatif. The procedure of the research is an related spiral model. The result shows that the steps of a contextual approach applying constructive strategy, finding out, asking, modeling, learning society, authentic assessment, and reflection can improve the result of English language learning on the fourth grade of SD Negeri Banjarharjo in the academic year of 2011/ 2012 academic year.
